Thats me laughing at everybody that had help putting in a diff.. I did it by myself with 2 jacks a and and one of those things on wheel that you lay on. I'll tell you how it drives when I get done putting the axles back on and tightening everything back up.

if its so easy, do a writeup for the noobs so it can be made into an article. pics of your process might help!

I used 2 jack stands and lifted it in by hand, letting the front nose sit on the swaybar.

I "did" it by myself. I was pretty much done when I made that post. I was just taking a break. It doesn't really need a write up I did it the same way 574-240sx did it. Maybe I'll do a write up anyway. I never said it was easy though. that thing is hard to lift up when your on your back and 16 year old dust is falling in your eyes.

Hey neverlift you buy me a clutch and i'll let you drive it before I swap it.

Oh yeah I love the way it drives. To me the understeer just feels the the steering wheel is tighter. still turns fine in my eyes. Just can't gas it too much on turns. it kicks out soooooooo easily.but just like everybody else said. Its 100% predictable. Only competent drivers need to do this. you really gotta know your car. Noobs do not need a welded diff.

You gotta remember though I was just laughing at all the people who needed help not saying how easy it was. But when I get my clutch you are more than welcome to come and do it for me. It shouldn't take you more than 1 hour. I'll get the beer and snacks.

Oh well it was worth a shot. I'm gonna figure out the intake thing myself. I guess i'm stuck with my 3 year old clutch. at least its not slipping yet.

I'll come I love car-man weddings. I can do the two wheel burnout with my stock "open diff" you couldnt? wtf do I have an lsd? Would that be why wheel spin is so minimal and unpredictable?

OK you got me its not technically my first 2 wheel burnout. It happens every once in a while with an open diff. it depends on what surface your on. to do it the tires need equal resistance.

I should go take a pic of that **** its nasty and I dont think its ever been touched. New project. I thought it was strange for an open diff to dig concrete at both tires. Geuss I need to read up on diffs.

its probably not as bad as you think it is. I know my original open diff was put through hell. and my fluid still looked ok and I only had small metal/oil paste on my drain plug.

I lifted it by hand and bolted it in place, you weaklings. But I did have a jack stand underneath so I can rest. But yeah it isnt that hard. Wear a nice pair of overall goggles and you should be safe from debree. I wish I could have a lift installed.. I got the money but Im moving out in a couple months. Lol I know someone that can remove the engine in 20 min with the tranmission and it takes you that long? But yeah do a write up. It will help others and myself on ways to doing it.

Did you shim it? Did you check for proper tolerances? That's one part of the drive train I'll pay someone to install into an empty pumkpin for me... The rest is cake...

didn't have to shim it or any of that mess I didn't take it out of the pumpkin the guy covered the stuff for me.

To be honest with you I didn't go above 50 in the rain before the welded diff. I don't do anything but drive slow in the rain.My friends all make fun of me b/c I really hate the rain. I like it when its dry out. More control.

I'm one that nobody has to worry about I don't love 240sx's, I like them. I love my 240sx. So I try not to put it at risk.

Your friend (or you pretending to be your friend) obviously sucks at driving. At 80mph on the highway, I nail rain puddles, car stays fine.Tell him to get a bicycle
