Can one put a 93 300zx motor in an 86 300zx?

yes it can be done. im not sure what all is required but it can be done. i saw at 85 at a car show one time with a tt swap

im lookin to keep mine naturally aspirated thanks for the input just wanted to see if there was a need to change motor mounts or move around nething in the engine compartment and come to think of it wat about the tranny? and drive shaft? hmm...o yea! and the ecu!?

Im pretty sure u either have to swap the mounts or the cross member one but dont hold me to that, u may wanna actually compare the dimensions and measurements of the cross member to see if u need to swap that but im pretty sure its almost a straight forward swap but again... dont hold me to that. as far as electronics goes u may want to call and talk to wiring specialties and see what they can do and if they will do it. ill check around, keep doing so too and we'll figure this out

It would be much easier to just turbo the motor in there. you would have no room in the engine bay. you should look into putting a vg33e out of a pathy or exterra if you want N/A. same motor mounts, has been bored to a 3.8 with success, people have bored them to a 3.5 and then used vq45 pistons for a 10.5 comp beast. then you just need to get nistune for $500 and you can tune all you want.
