I made 440hp on 20psi at 7300rpm with the warped-flange lovefab manifold

On a stock motor would it be reasonable to raise the boost some? I haven't heard what stock block/head/headgasket can take on an RB25. I know my last Sr held 23lb daily for a half a year until i sold it.

I do plan on a conservative tune at around 11.0 flat AFR

Unless you have the money for a rebuild I would leave it alone if you are content with the power level. I notice we all get ahead of ourselves and don't spend the time to drive our cars at certain power levels in a rush to break something it seems. Just Enjoy it a little or crank the boost and see what shes made of!!! hahaha. On a serious note I know of a RB pushing 480whp for a bout a year and it gave up the ghost at 600, so many variables involved but you are starting to push the "reliability" envelope.

aem is what i am using now.

i think i might just rave the rev limit to 8000rpm and leave the boost the same. I hardly ever shift to rev limit anyways.. i build mad power at high rpm

why dont you take the manifold off and send it back to who ever you got it from and have them fix the warped flange?

did you get a hold of cool whip yet for the turbo to head gasket?

Fix that flange... I bet your turbo will come in alot sooner any you will like it more! Then worry about turning up the boost. No point without fixing that flange!

Do you have the dyno? I havnt looked at many RB dynos and would like to see the powerband. Also what turbo are you running?

Nice numbers. Just got my aem in and Running it on a gt32. What turbo/injectors are you running for 440@20lbs?

You can do more. Those are good numbers, but with a good tune, it'll take more, even with the stock headgasket.

I already sent the manifold off, Cody at lovefab loves to make me feel unimportant by not answering phone calls/text messages/emails. God this pisses me off.

Yeah matt shue, the guy who tuned my car said if I could rev out 500-800rpms more i'd pick up 20hp+

Do i need solid lifters to rev to 8k or are springs more important to prevent valve float? I didnt feel like searching

I never trusted Hydro Lifters for revving much. On my SR i run Tomei Solids and upgraded valve springs and can rev to 9000rpm all day.

mine wants to rev higher also, but i wont allow it. mine already puffs a little bit of smoke here and there. my dyno sheet said 453, but i have a feeling its a bit inflated. but i run a 3076r at 15psi.

I was @ 440whp on a dynojet.

When you look at the tomei solid lifters they look like little sections of round rod cut to size. I'm curious if a machine shop could make some lifters out of some increased hardness SS or a titanium alloy rod.

I could get machine work done for free here at work.
