I prefer good old key turning to start the car. Call me old fashion but I like to feel in control, that must be why I choose a 6MT lol.

I do agree that the fact that I never have to reach for anything in my pocket to lock, unlock or start the car is GOD but my bro's mazdaspeed6 has the same thing but instead of pushstart he has a key-like knob to start the car when you have the smartkey on you.

Here's a pic:

So what's your opinion on the push start feature? (not talking about the fact of keeping the key in your pocket, because like I said there is a way to have the turning key feature without losing the advantages of the smartkey)

really? my mom's 07 Maxima is like that, same smart key as me but with a knob instead of a button. and we both hate it.... she wishes she had a button like me.... thats why the new 09 Maxima's have a button lol if you really want the knob, try and get one from like a 07 maxima and then see if it will work..... if you can find a way for it to work, maybe i could talk my mom into trading you her knob for your button

You know what, I totally agree with you. I love the old fashion key, putting it in and turning it. I like switching to On and Accessory modes back and forth. I even disable my speed sensing auto locks because I just prefer some things manual like Will Smith in irobot :D.

I love the pushbutton! So easy and simple!

First day I drove the car to work, a bunch of guys gathered around because they didn't know what it was. I climbed in, pressed the brake pedal, touched the button, and while it was auto starting, I already had my hands on the seat belt to buckle up. There was a slight delay and then a chorus of "WTF"...

As for key starts... don't get me started.... my 03 Sunfire keylock froze in the off position with a broken tumbler... still sits in my driveway because the repairs exceed the car's value even though it otherwise runs fine.

I love the push button. I haven't been driving for too long but I was rolling around in my dads 4runner before I got the coupe.

My moms 530i has a push button, but you have insert the key into its slot, turn it(like you would with a standard starter), and then push the button. WAAAAYY too complicated if you ask me.

My dads Jeep Grand Cherokee (2008) has the RFID thing in the key that is in the intellikey for Nissan, but you still have to physically put the key thing (which has no resemblance to a key) into this hole and turn it. They should have just put a button in there

Thats a picture of the key on the Jeeps if you don't know what I am talking about.

The remote start on it is badass though. My dad needs it too since I make him park outside so I can keep my car in the garage

I like the push button feature. There is no need for a knob which acts like a key if it really doesn't need a key. I might be a control freak, but not so much as to need the feeling of turning a key to start my car!

P.S., everytime I drive someone else's car, I run into the same thing as a few posters above: I sit there dumbfounded for a few seconds trying to figure out where the start button is!

One of the main reasons why i didnt get a accord coupe to start with, is because of hte push start + keyless start

my rx8 has keyless start, but it has the knob shown in ur picture...doesnt look as fancy nor does it feel as cool.... it feels like ur turning a key...but the key is already in the ignition... kinda lame if u ask me

Lmfao! You made your DAD park outside? Wow.

If/when I have kids, if they ask me to park my car outside... I'ld laugh in their face.

And yea, I love my push start. I think that fake knob thing looks really tacky. Why pretend that you have a key... when you really don't?

i love the pushbutton technology. however i wish it more like the mercedes push button starter, which is located on the gearshifter and looks very pretty as opposed to a big orange button

After this, I don't think I can go back (like having Moonroof, Leather & 9+ Speakers) . LOL

You know what's even better than Push Start, the Button on the Door Handle. This is very convenient, I hate dealing with the Key Fob.

Merry Christmas!

I exclusively use it to catch yellow lights, switch it over, knock it into "second" and thrust past the intersection

i love the push button start...so convienent its not even funny

i love impressing people with it..letting them push the button and become so amazed..lolll

the only thing i dont like about it...is going to 'acc' from the 'on' position with the car running

its like 50% chance...sometimes i tap it twice and it goes to 'acc'

other times it'll just go to off..then i gotta hit it again to go to 'acc'..i hate that

i havent figured out how to get it to 'acc' perfectly every time from the 'on' position

my friend tori was trying to start my car the other day (not the smartest of people )

she was pushing the button and it wasn't starting, then I (quietly so she didn't realize)hit the brake and pushed the button to start the car.

Now I convinced her that she doesn't know the secret so I don't have to worry about her trying to runaway with my car

(she tried with my friends built tacoma and it was pretty scary)
