I need kinda a quick answer to this.

I went to Kragen and ordered rear hubs for an S14 SE for my 5 lug conversion. I told them that 4 lug was useless and that they can keep it if they send me the 4 lug version.

So anyway, they came in today, and while I haven't had a chance to look at them, the guy on the phone said that it WAS the rear hub assembly, but it wasn't the piece that has the studs. WTF did they send me? Is it the spindles? If it is the spindles, do I need them?

If they are spindles, and I don't need them, I can have them returned, but what parts do I need? "Hub Assembly" apparently doesn't cut it.

And does anyone have pics of EXACTLY what I need?

Why dont you look at them and see first? It could be the hub and spindle but yet doesnt have the studs in it... It could just be a studless hub... It could just be a spindle, or hell a honda hub muhaha..

Open the box and reply.

It's the spindle.

And I brought my front conversion hubs and hes like "oh those...." He looks up the price and it was almost 400 bucks for both sides. I politely asked for the $230 back that I had already paid for the hubs.

I am just going to buy used rear hubs. Maybe I'll get new wheel bearings or something.

This just pisses me off.

Bud, it's true. Each rear hub assy retails locally at just under $170 per side, are not really readily available. If I was doing your exact project through my supplier, I would have to order them out of Oregon, pay retail plus tax, shipping, and have to wait for delivery.

I'm pretty sure you can use z32 rear hubs, but you can't use the front ones. There were a couple useful threads on this on these boards somewhere. I found them when I was thinking of doing the 5lug conversion (until I realized I am a poor college student who needs food more than 5 lug hubs).
