I'm finally looking at purchasing my 240 that I have been wanting since way back in october... Its been a long wait but for the car of my dreams it's well worth it... Anyways I saw this guy who swapped out his engine for a skyline engine... now I know those must be hard to come buy, but is it worth it... I mean is it that much better then the other options such as a sr20det... I still think the rb20det would look way better just cause it's a beautiful engine but is it that much better?

You could start a new war about which engine is better or you could search and learn from the old ones. All of the engine swaps have pros and cons.

Check out the RB, CA, SR, and KA-T subforums in the 240SX & Silvia section if you really want to dig in.

And congrats on getting a 240! Better be a coupe

Firstly, keep it stock for a while seeing as you're 16. When it is time to swap, go SR.

there is no better motor all the motors have they pros and cons. it all depends on what you like and how much you pockets can handle. im learning that now. ive searched and searched on which motor is the best and i noticed that they all are.but i like i said it all depends on what you like and want for your car.

well, like said before, its up to you. I myself prefer keeping the good ol KA and either keeping it NA or turbo. My plans are to run NA b/c i am 16 for awhile since this is all the power i need right now. Then maybe i'll turbo it. Not too sure yet though. Well do a search(button in top left corner) and that will give you all info you need. Congrats on the 240! Got any pics? Good luck with whatever you do with your car.
