I went ahead and ordered my new aftermarket stereo receiver last night from Crutchfield. It shipped today and I'm expecting it either tomorrow or Wednesday.

I finally decided on this: http://signature.crutchfield.com/s_113K ... ml?tp=5684

It's a single din unit, but I had a lot more to choose from when I narrowed my search to single din. I did like the Pioneer double din units, but I am really never going to watch DVD's in my car. The unit I did buy seems to have better features, like Bluetooth powered by Parrot, great Ipod integration, and overall better sound quality and ability to customize sound. I think the pocket that I'll have by using the single din unit dash kit will come in handy as well, since the Rogue doesn't seem to have many cubbies in dash.

I did initally want front usb, aux, and sd card slot, but after seeing a friends rear input and how he routed to glovebox, I've decided that was the better option...no messy wires hanging out of receiver, etc.

So it shoud be here early this week and I'm supposed to have a friend's boyfriend install it. He's very good with this kind of thing. I have plans for Saturday, so we'll see if he can do it on Sunday, of course, since he's doing me a favor, I'll have to have it installed at his leisure.
Will definitely take pictures once it's installed, as well as pics of the new cargo liner, mats, exhaust tip, and seat covers.

Very excited about my purchase and I think this Kenwood Excelon Unit is top quality.

FYI: Nissan changed the antenna connector starting in 2007... it's no longer the industry standard Motorola type.

I hope you've picked up the necessary wiring adapter or purchase the part from a local retailer. It would be a pity to go through the install an not have it working 100% once you were done.

That's the great thing about Crutchfield! They include everything in the order for free: wiring harness, dash kit, antennae adapter, and detailed installation instructions specific to the Rogue, including dash removal tool. Crutchfield is awesome. Sometimes, you pay a little more for the equipment, but it really is worth it for the great customer service(you can call them up and they'll walk you through installation step by step) as well as for getting EVERYTHING you need to install all for 1 price.

Will post pics as soon as it's installed!

When I bought my first unit off crutchfield they included motorola antenna adapter. I hope they changed that because I had to destroy Rogue's antenna socket to be able connect to aftermarket unit. Crutchfield sells way overpriced unit. Couple months ago I bought used pioneer Avic-X910bt off ebay for $300. It didn't want to boot but it has windows ce on it so I formatted it and installed new version of iGo software. Now it works good. btw just connected a shallow 12" pioneer subwoofer to it temporally in the trunk but later on I'll make a box and fit into the rear seat. Will post pics as soon as done.

I just contacted Crutchfield and they included the correct adapter for the Nissan Rogue.

As far as Crutchfield being overpriced, I paid $279 for my receiver. For this price I got unit, dash kit, wiring harness, antennae adapter, detailed, Rogue-specific installation instructions, dash removal tool, FREE 2 day shipping, and GREAT customer service and support.

I froogled my exact same receiver and prices range from $224 on Ebay to $400 at a bunch of places I've never heard of. Sorry, but I think the extra $50 I spent was well worth it. I know my receiver is going to WORK, I got everything needed for installation, and the peace of mind of great customer service/support.

I don't mind paying extra for that. Some people would have saved the $50 and took a chance on Ebay. To each his own I guess. I'm VERY happy with my purchase!

It depends. The unit that I bought for $300 actually was originally $1200 new on crutchfield. Then price dropped because new model came out. Dash kit was $20 and antenna adapter $5 in local audio store and instruction if you need to it was included with dash kit from metra. On metraonline you can download any audio manual but crutchfield will include you nothing but universal instructions with metra kit which don't fit perfectly. Should go with scosche dash kit instead of metra. So this is a little bit more than $50 savings.
