I have recently purchased a 1995 GTS-T Type M R33and have searched around on here but haven't quite answered my questions yet.

The vehicle is currently registered in CA (irvine) and insured by Hagerty Classic Car

First off,Insurance.

What companies will insure a legalized registered R33 other than hagerty as they tend to put very low mileage caps on the cars they register.

Secondly, The legality of the car.It has been registered and insured for 6 years or so, and apparently was legalized before the motorex fraud issues.

Is the vehicle in danger of being crushed since it no longer can be imported? I've been told that it is fine since its already been approved once, they cant go back on it again.

Someone please clarrify this all for me!Thanks much folks!

Yeah, if your car was done by MotorEx before they went under then you should be fine. Just keep all your paperwork with you when you are in driving the car.

As far as insurance, I can't tell ya. Sean says Progressive, so call them.

thanks for the quick responses guys.

I actually called state farm and they had some very reasonable rates.

Yeah this car has 22 pages of paperwork, so its going for registration in a week. Wish me luck!
