Purchase Help...2001 Infinti I30

Hey guys,

I'm very new in here. I love Maxima's, like "check my pants to see if i'm wet when I turn on the engine" love. But I found this owner who has an '09 Maxima and wants to sell her '01 Infinti I30 with as much as 150k miles on it for $2500 to $3000.

From simple viewing the car and under the hood looks like it's not been tampered with. But besides listening to the engine and checkin brakes, etc. What should I look for? And is it a good buy?

Please fill me in because I'm a Nissan fanatic and I'd like it but don't want to be taken advantage of.

Oh and by the way, i have a '99 Kia Sportage and I want to get out of it as soon as possible, I just want to make sure I'm doing the best thing for the situation at hand.

Too bad the mileage is that high, but for $2500 I guess it wouldn't be too bad. You read of these cars going between 200k & 300k. I'd certaintly check fluids for discolouration, bad smell, etc. Look carefully under the car for any signs of fluid leaks. I'm certainly no expert, but that's what I do before "rolling the dice" on a used car. Make sure you take it for a drive down a bumpy road and carefully listen for bumps, bangs and clunks. Good luck!
