Purchase experience

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi all,

Thought I would relay my buying experience. It was a very straightforward negotiation. We got a black obsidian graphite interior EX with Premium, nav, wood trim, splash guards and cargo protector for 39,200. That is about 800 over invoice. We are loving the car so far. It is a very tight driving experience and really well integrated technology experience. Blew away the X3 and RDX for us on the richness of the interior. I'd recommend it to you, but I'm happy to have one of the few one on the road right now.

Just bought mine today after just 48 hours of anonymous haggling with Bay Area dealers. $100 over invoice (and a really nice umbrella I swiped on the way out). There were 3 or 4 different EX buyers in there at 5pm on a very cold and rainy saturday. Seems like a very good start for this car.

Not sure what all this grousing about the back seat is. If my kids don't like it, they have the option to walk.

Sole disappointment so far is that the watchdog of public safety (is there any lower form of life?) prevents you from playing a DVD for the kids from the dashboard screen while actually driving. Do you really think that would be the case if Ron Paul were President? (A joke, please don't start).

It's not purple. It's DARK CURRANT damn it!
