Hi all,
New to the community looking for some advice on a prospective purchase of a 1991 Z32 with ~11k miles.
http://www.diamondmotorworks.com/detail ... 00768.html

I previously had a 07 335i which spun a rod bearing due to a manufacturing defect and a heavy right foot (the former more so than the latter, I swear). I parted the bmw out and have been in my durango ever since. Now I'm in the market for something different; I've never owned a japanese car before but now is a good time to start I think.
Ideally I'd want a tt, but figured the low mileage on this one was worth further inspection. I think they're asking way too much, but was hoping for some input from the community. Prices seem to be all over the place for these cars; what, if anything, would you gals and guys offer? Any advice/ideas are appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to NiCO
1. Price - What they are asking is very fair considering its a niche luxury good, they can ask what someone will pay and with that mileage they are likely to sell it
2. Car - You'll be highly disappointed going from a 335i to a NA Z, they are fun cars but the power isnt there (my fiance drives an E90 335i, I LOVE IT), At that price-point you are better off searching for a well taken care of higher mileage Twin Turbo, they can be found for 10k in decent shape with some bolt-ons and a good service history. If you can muster $15k you can find a pristine example if you look hard enough. Now they wont have 10k miles on them but with the propoer care these engines (in NA or TT guise) can last well over 200k.

I have to agree. If you ideally want a tt, I would get a tt. That car will do nicely in a non-driving collection.

Hold out for a TT at that price point. 50k-75k mileage in great shape will run you around $15-17k. Be patient.

Thanks for the advice everyone!
I think I will hold out for the TT. If I went with the NA, someday a TT would pull up next to me at a red light and then I would have to kill myself. NiCo Club saved my life.

SoftSack - tricked to PM, but didnt work. Ive got a 90TT, 69k miles, mint shape, 5pd, breather mods only, 375 WHP. 100% maintenance done with top quality parts. I have been dabbling selling it for some time now, I'm just not driving it. Heres a photo: https://s3.amazonaws.com/data.tackk.com ... 5orkv9.JPG

Let me know if you want to talk, 440-376-1240, Brent

I heard from a co-worker that a 96' 5k/mi TT sold for seventy some thousand dollars. These things are going to start going up in price.
