We can only hope that his history follows him around and his life is worse off for it.

That's atrocious. One can only hope the victims families are successful suing the affluenza kid's parents for millions in civil court.

This is ridiculous. He killed people doing almost 2x the speed limit and gets off on the defense that he doesn't know better because he's rich? Seriously? If that is seriously the conclusion bis parents should be in jail, using the lawyer's arguement as evidence.

The worst part of about this is the outrageous precedent that has been set. They effectively just created two sets of laws, those for the rich and those for the rest of us.

The judge should be removed immediately.

I sure hope no one puts a shiv into both parents and that kid...

What Beaver's doing and what this little s*** did are two separate issues. I can see how you'd link them, but while Vahjayjay might be impressionable upon kids, they can't stand in front of a judge and say "I did it because I'm a belieber." and have a shot in hell of getting a slap on the wrist. I'm not defending discount Miley Cyrus at all, as I hope to god his egging is tried as a felony, he's convicted, and then deported back to Canada never to return.

HOWEVER, this f*** just opened the door for other rich f*** to say "Mommy and Daddy spoiled me rotten. Here's court precedent that says I should be given a light sentence. Ciao." and they can have a reasonable shot at getting that pushed through. Anyone who grew up with parents that did their f*** job and taught us right from wrong and didn't spoil the hell out of us could never use that defense. The judge didn't bother to take into consideration the legal can of worms he'd be opening for future cases involving similar persons. Personally, I would like to see an investigation into the judge's background and see if he has ties to the family. If he does, then I could conceivably see the sentencing or the even the verdict being thrown out due to ethical douchebaggery.

That's amazing... Afluent or not, EVERYONE knows the legal drinking age, EVERYONE knows its illegal to drink and drive, and EVERYONE definitely knows that if you kill four people and grevously injure two more, you belong in jail. Follow the money...
