There are noticable LOSSES by gutting the cat on a KA.

Not worth it.

You pick up a few HP up top (+4500), but lose significantly down low...enough that the car is slower overall.

the best option is a high flow cat

-environment-tq gains over gutted/no cat-essentially no hp losses over gutted/no cat

don't punch your cat.

punching it will only incite a viscious attack that would include lots of hissing, scratching, and biting.

and if you've never been a victim of a cat attack, trust me, the end result is not a pretty picture.

i live in tn, and if a shop is caught gutting a cat, it's a 50,000 fine lol...a friend of mine owned a shop and i asked him if i could gut mine while it was in the air, he said yes, on a day when we're closed...

Dont do it,It will mess up the exhaust flow,Get a test pipe,To keep things smooth or a Hi flow cat...On a NA KA i would go hi flow cat for sure...I gutted my cat,Back when i had a KA and it really made the car sound like $hi#,And i lost tons of low end power,Top end wasnt improved much,if at all...

Never ever gut a cat. If anything bang a 2" pipe down the center to maintain a smooth airflow simulating a test pipe. Your best option is to buy highflow!

I'd imagine that the picture was originally something else but changed by whoever is hosting it. The whole "hotlinking" message kind of gives it away.

Anyway, it would be nice if a mod could uh, remove that thing.

Way to fail, Boznuttz. Next time host the image yourself and that won't happen.

It's an anti-hotlinking script.

Also this is a 2+ year old thread

Oh god. Guys I'm sooooo sorry!!!! I copied and pasted a link off of the FTW website. It DID show a picture of a cat before, but, I'm sure they have changed the site around.....I use photobucket everytime now. I also can't even imagine what image would have replaced that one.

SORRY AGAIN GUYS! LOL
