Don't worry guys, I'm absorbing this. Interesting in theory form, but would love to compare a RWD vehicle on different dynomometers. Never said I knew it all and not all cars are the same. Great thread and thanks for all of your informative posts guys. This what we need!

Sadly there is no definite way to measure engine power, a chassis dyno has all the losses and on an engine dyno the engine is a constant temp with no alternator/w-pump and the exhaust system is different from what the car will have on the road, so were all stuffed! :)

Well I read the first two links and found pretty interesting information that we usually kind of either ignore or not aware of it, There are so much factors involved than just strapping the car to the dyno and run it, it was interesting to find that there is a temp. sensor that should be located at the gound level and measures a close reading to a driving condition but as the article mentioned most shops mislocate it in many different spots that actually could result in offsetting the dyno reading.

See, no matter how much you know or when you think you know it, there is always something new to learn, not claiming that I am even close to know it all, lol, but threads like that is what iinterests me and gives me a better knowledge and education.

new numbers

estimated 285 hp and 240 tq

i did a run and got 277 hp and 237 tq before bumping the timing up another 2 deg which with the preveous run moveing the timing up top from 20 to 23 deg gained me 11 hp. It is now at 25 deg up top. But before i got a chance to do a last pull on the dyno the wastegate actuator arm fell off.

this is at 18psi

sadly my badly beaten transmission could not handle any more power. :(
