How do you get the wiring harness from the ecu through the front firewall?

Do you have to take all the AC components off to do it?

Ive got all the connections loose, but found a vinyl floor in the way... but I see where it goes through, but the rubber stopper is next to impossible to get out without knowing the trick...

We pulled a KA from two cars, threw one away and swapped the other into the other car a couple months ago. You disconnect the harness from the ECU and pull it through the firewall. It will get hung up but you just have to be patient and work it through. Both cars had all A/C components and we didn't have to move anything.

If I remember correctly, get a screwdriver or something and use it to pry the edges of that rubber stopper away from the chassis so you can push it through the hole in the firewall and then you can pull the harness upwards.

Got it out by brute forcing the stopper, and I took out the glove box because near the round ac motor thing on the right hand side at the firewall the harness is attached to something with a plastic stop...

I brute forced that off with 2 screwdrivers and it pulled RIGHT out :-)

So, harness is out and all the fluids are drained, now just to unbolt and pull it out.

Josh

thanks all
