I have my KA engine pulled and I am pulling out my KA harness to be sent to HT. I have the harness disconnected all the way back to the firewall. I was wondering what is the best way to disconnect the harness on the inside of the car. Like should I take apart the dash or glovebox. Is is connected all over the place under the dash. I have the Ecu disconnected already. Anyway the ways that all you SR drivers used to pull out your harness would be helpful.

Be sure to unplug the ecu which you already have and unplug the dash plug...and just pull the harness out. That's it...:D

It matters what transmission you have, but its generaly pretty easy. Take out the ECU and with a flashlight just take a good look at the wires branching off. When I pulled mine, it was like 3 or 4 plus, but all really close to the ECU. Good luck.

the harness is from an automatic. Does that mean that there are any hard to reach spots or what?

You should remove the glove compartment to give more working space. There are a few plastic anchors that hold the harness in place. After its loose, it takes some maneauvering to get it through the fire wall.

I just pulled my harness about 15 minutes ago. You need to undo the ECU, and there is a 10 bolt that holds the ECU plug into the ECU. Pull the ECU out, and there was one white plug that was connected to the dash, it's kinda at an odd angle, but its not too bad. After that, pull the grommet out that's in the firewall, and just start pulling. I got my dad to pull, while I manueverd the harness through. Not too bad, just takes a little while.
