Ok, so off the first page in general chat

I'm getting ready to do a turbo install and transmission swap (no use for one without the other) Whats more convenient, pulling engine with transmission and installing everything while out of the car (I worry about clearance issues while trying to put it back in) or just do the transmission swap then install turbo stuff. My gut is telling my the latter.

I have done both let me tell you i found that pulling the motor and trany is easier than just the motor and instaling just the motor and trany and like the intake manifold and blets and pullies and that stuff is easier than trying to do it with the turbo manifold and turbo and all that stuff hope that helps if you need any more hekp or advice just post it up and good luck with the swap and turbo. Do the oil return for the turbo while it is out

Forgot about mentioning the oil return as one of the pluses of pulling it all. I have no intake (unless injectors count as intake) to do. Just mani, turbo, injectors and all the transmission stuff. (as for experience, I've never even helped or see anybody do this much work to a car, not that I'm incapable, just with out prior exposure ((to all that might flame, it ain't brain surgery and you didn't know **** from shinola your self at one time!))) engine hoist I can probably borrow if pulling, got tools, just curious about how you would approach. All turboing components are off someone elses care, basically a kit.

Im not trying to be an *** scheffler, but reading your post hurt my brain. It really helps if you at least try to use punctuation and close to proper grammar.

Its easier to install the engine with the exhaust manifold off. Install the turbo and manifold after you have installed the engine, its really not that hard to do with it in. If you do it your way, you will be tighting both manifolds, and it will be a PITA to tighten the motor mounts.

I'm an engineer damit, not an english major (yes I think this is a valid excuse, but if ya'll are calling me a tard, what do they think about me a work?)! Thanks, I'll do a normal transmission swap, then install turbo stuff. I'm so excited about going turbo.

Do transmission swap first to make sure everything still runs right. Then go turbo. But while your engine is out weld the bung on your oil pan, check vaccum hoses/remove emissions....
