PreOBDII [90-95] ecu require a Consult diagnostic Computer [$6000] or follow FSM for the blinking light count method.

Everything is reset during each crank except hard codes and adaptive fuel trim [which takes anywhere from 1 second of driving to 30 miles of driving].

No expensive code reader required for the 94Q. Just turn a screw on the backside of the ECU and count flashes. Go to the Tech Help section at Q45.org. It's all there. Doing a search in this forum with the keywords "ECU codes" will also give you a multitude of threads.

A good start would be finding the ECU. It's located in the passenger side footwell. Start by pulling back the 1" carpet square about where the right foot would rest and removing the 10mm nut holding the carpeted cover on.
