basically for looks ,and some are lighter weight than the OEM pulleys allow your engine to run a little freer than normal .. lol dont laugh at my spelling ..

Be warned....pulleys will make the accessories slow down, which can be really bad if you plan on running an aftermarket stereo system. The alternator for the G35 is too small IMO...

i have been kind of slacking around here, huh.

yerv[g35] - I LOVE MINE!

1. an underdrive crank pulley underdrives your a/c and alternator (i think those are the 2), thus freeing up horse power ESPECIALLY at lower rpms. it's about 1/2 - 2/3 the size of the stock pulley and MUCH lighter. i haven't had any problems with my a/c, electrical, or power steering. my car is running fine.

2. YES, it's a noticeable difference and a GREAT mod. most of the people who bash the underdrive pulley don't even have one. they'll say it only adds 4-5 hp but that's not what matters. the car drives much better with the extra ponies freed up.

3. get an Unorthodox Racing crank pulley. my original one was a cheapy off of eBay. i ditched it quick for a known quality part. you don't have to buy the whole set if you don't want to. the other pulleys are mainly for decoration.

4. you can put up to a 600W after market system in and shouldn't have any problems. get a 1 farad capacitor justy in case.

5. you'll need 2 new belts.

That's what I'm using for my 800W MTX amp(TA7800)...but it is a factory freak, putting out 1800 peak according to the birth sheet. I'm running it to 2-10" DVC subs so the imp is .5 ohm

The system runs much smoother with the cap and Optima yellow-top batt.

it is, but they're not that expensive and they help A LOT!

the pulley set is expensive but the underdrive crank pulley on it's own is only about $200. it's well worth it if you ask me. it'll be that little edge over the other guys.

where in bedford are you DOHCscreamer???? i'm in Euless.
