I'm about to buy some new pulleys, and i was just wondering what others are using? Enjuku makes some i think, Megan Racing, UR, And greddy. Which ones should i buy? i like the way megan racing ones look but i dont want them breaking on me, and the greddy ones are more than dbl the price. any advice?

Well which pullleys do you want to upgrade.?? The Crank pulley or the Waterpump,Alt,PS?? The waterpump,Alt,PS pulleys are just for looks, and dont give you much or any power gains..And the UR Crank pulley will give you some very nice power gains and underdrive your waterpump..Which is a good thing on the SR engine..There was a Night/Day differents on my SR after i installed my UR crank pulley..Water Temp's were down at high RPM's and The car felt ALOT faster and smooth..The best differents in power was felt at lower RPM's or Before the turbo kicked in..

ok well im looking to gain more power so i'm going to invest into the camshaft pully. It doesnt seem to hard to replace, should be close to a couple bolts and what not correct? i'm leaning towards the Unorthodox Racing pulley(Crank Pulleys (Ultra S)), is there better?

Are you going to have the car tuned on a dyno? Your can't just guess with cam timing. Have you ever removed the timing chain? It's not as simple as just unbolting the gear and installing the new one. What are your mods so far? I'm sure there are far more things you could be doing to gain any power.

hmmm are you trying to talk about pulleys or cam gears? camgears are for the camshafts... you usually only get cam gears if you have upgraded camshaft.. it helps you finer tune your timing.

as for pulleys.... just like 9240sx said, the Crank pully and Water pulley are the ones that really help with power. unorthodox is a good Crank pulley, not sure about water one.

i'm sure i typed my post wrong last night. But what i meant is pulley not cam gears. i pretty much have the stock redtop w/ frontmount, koyo rad, flex dual fans, walboro fp, rs bov, and apexi exhaust.

SR's use Harmonic Balancer's I hate it when people say that..SR's have balanced cranks..You have nothing to worry about..The crank pulley on the sr's just a crank pulley nothing else..Iv had mine for a while now..The if anything if made my car run lots better with it..Just buy one..Dont listen to all that Harmonic Balancer crap..BLAh Blah BLaH..

yea thats harmonic balancer bs is just that BS. sr's and most nissan motors are in fact internally balanced. people will then say that the stock pulley has dampers in it, but it still doesnt need those. UR pulley is what i will be getting soon and see how it helps my flywheel alum driveshaft combo. get one. DO IT!!!

thanks for the informatio. I had never heard of the sr having a harmonic balancer and thats why i brought it up. I'll be getting my pulley as soon i can. So UR crank pulley takes the win?
