Just because nissan has used a GT-R badging doesn't mean it 'belongs to them'
It's pretty much just an extra that signifies a trim level, if you will.BMW is coming out with the M3 GTR street version.
yeah, i knew i forgot something.
ultima gtr=kit car, not around as long as skylinekawasaki gtr1000=motorcycle, not around as long as skylinebmw m3 gtr=not out yet(except racecar), not around as long as skylinembenz clk gtr=racecar(like mclaren), not around as long as skyline i would say all those prob dont add up to much(in gross tonage) compared to the skyline. i know nissan doesnt own the gtr(then it would have a little c with a circle around it,lol), but the other guys should just avoid it out of respect. other guys not including the lemans prototypes, wicked kit cars(even if it does have a dang 'ol chevy v8), and handbuilt million a piece supercars. they are welcome(according to me) to share the gtr badge simply because they rock too. the whole thing is kind of like the doofusses at pontiac who decided gto would be a good name for a big iron turd. that should have been left to ferrari as they had really coined the term "gto". now, few remember the ferrari gto(as compared to the pontiac).
all said and done. any gtr badge on the steet ought to be on a nissan. period.
