Can't imagine what those mean old police officers were thinking that every car has to meet state and federally mandated standard operating codes!

Ah, profiling as used by homeland security. But this is not what happened, is it?M45-Zero260 wrote:
I know there are some out there that will not hesitate to pull over an OEM car and taze you before you can even ask any questions because you "fit the description".
Agreed. In direct sunlight those clear egay lights are very hard to see.AZhitman wrote:No law prohibiting taillight tint, as long as they're compliant. Hell, those cheapass fake "altezzas" are harder to see than tinted rears with LEDs.
I'd be very suprised if it was his front windshield that was tinted. I think he was talking about the back windshield.wingFeather wrote:I am not siding with the officer, nor bashing you... but tinting tail lights does reduce the light transferred by the reflectors. Not so much an LED issue.
Also, tinting your front windshield is very illegal, so that violation is totally understandable. If you really want to, you can re-tint it & just gamble on getting pulled again, but you cannot complain.

Interesting! I did not think any state allowed that (it is a state-by-state requirement).xerexabante wrote:It is a growing trend here in Las Vegas that the FRONT windsheild is tinted.
That is very interesting. I feel like sometime i have trouble seeing with my Limo tint on back windows and windshield. I could not even imagine driving with my front windshield tinted.xerexabante wrote:It is a growing trend here in Las Vegas that the FRONT windsheild is tinted.
Here is a link to the state by state tint laws. (canada too)szhosain wrote:

In California, front windsheld tinting (beyond whatever the factory does) is illegal - other than a small band across the top (there are specific angle and other measurements required to be met for that too - certain drivers would not meet it!).
