Pulled over for taillights (car pics included)

Whassup guys and gyal havn't been on the forum in a hot min. but i do read it periodically

I got pulled over in Nassau goin to Roosevelt Field mall (in NYC) the cop said its illegal to have your tailslights tinted i thought i saw somewhere that if you can see the break lights its legal maybe im wrong im not sure

Actually I got lucky i had my PBA card from my cousin so he let me go

I have been pulled over for this and ticketed twice first one dismissed court for the second one in September. Sad part is the court date is over a year after I got the damn ticket anyway sooooo yea I don't care. I hate these dumb tickets.

smh damn ny cops jus looking for reasons to give tickets... the smart move would be to have a backup set of taillights n jus swap them with ur tinted taillights because the ticket is a "fix it" ticket. then jus put ur tinted tails back in

I've Actually met LBC once when i first bought my car but that was about it since he was supposed to give me money back for the overlays i got from him. but that's cool im over it (no hard feelings LBC LOL)

I actually live in Elmont right off of hempstead turnpike by Covert Ave.

BLue: there overlays that my tint guy put on for me. even if he gave me a ticket i would've just gone to my uncles shop and gotten a receipt that i got the tints and taillight overlays removed :-D

Hmm idk about others but LBC was a super good guy when i bought my overlays from him...mine were lost in shipping and he offered to give me my money back and send me new overlays i highly doubt he ignored your attempts to contact him IMHO

Per the original topic, it's illegal to tint your lights at all in most states. You may or may not be able to get away with it if they can see the red when you brake but having the reverse light tinted gives you no chance.
