If you don't have acopy of the F.S.M.(Factory Service Manual), you can download it here:

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/

Take a look at pages 51-55 of the EC Section:

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/ec.pdf

I think your codes are:
Code 34 = Knock Sensor Circuit
Code 51 = Injector Circuit

Have you check your Active Suspension codes? To check them, go to pages 65-66 of the FA Section:

http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/fa.pdf

Using a Consult cable like the one Peter from ECUTalk has been supplying us with will give you the most details:

http://ecutalk.com/interface.aspx

Check out the following thread:

34 is knock sensor

51 is injector analysis

www.nicoclub.com/archives/infiniti-ecu-codes.html

ohm your injectors through the harness to determine which ones are possibly malfunctioning. Over 14 ohms indicates a faulty injector. Also ohm the knock sensors. Can,t remember the values for that off my head.

A worst case scenario is to remove plenum, replace injector, knock sensors and both harnesses.

one last question would be will 96 injectors work with my 94..my dads friend has a 96 q in his junkyard he just got with low miles (front end collision but motor is fine) so he said i can take what i need for free so to keep my cost down is this a terrible idea to see if it fixes my issue for now til i replace all of them. also any advice to some stuff thats worth a pretty penny i could take off and would be a sufficient used part..anything of course that fits from 96 to 94..right now i plan on taking maf, injectors, some interior parts if the color matches and most likely the stereo and speakers...if anyone else needs anything please lemme know and ill try to pull that as well...and once again thanks for all your help..this is the greatest site ive ever used..used to own lots of dsms and there sites just not as efficient on the help...AWESOME

The bundle of connectors you're looking for is on the passenger side of the plenum. Maybe you'll get lucky and have #1, #2 or #8 injector be bad so you don't have to pull the plenum. KS should read around 550 ohms, FI S/B 12-14. Let us know your readings.

The 96 FI will work in your Q, the MAF will not, but grab it anyways and sell it in the parts forum. The 4 pin MAFs for the 95-96 Q are hard to come by.

perfect yea from what ive seen im hoping for that luck as well.. i will pull the maf for the selling purpose..maybe i can make a little cash on the side to pay for my inconvenience :) any other parts recommended that are rare or hard to come by that some Q lovers may be in need for? i will check for the harness tomorrow if i can and post my readings..thanks again for all the help

also he has a 92 in the yard so if anyone needs anything please send me a private message and of course everything will be super cheap as im paying nothing for it all

What color is the interior? I'm looking at some black a-pilar covers with the tweeters.

Grab all the modules (body control, fuel pump control, ECU, TCU, etc.), the fuel pump, every relay you can get your hands on, the alternator, the ABS actuator... All the expensive stuff!

You beat the odds. Two of the three bad injectors, #1 and #8, can be changed out easily without pulling the plenum. The engine will run much better if you can change out just those two. Add a bottle of Redline S1 Fuel System Cleaner to the fuel tank when you're done and you may get some temporary relief on the #4 injector that's on it's way out.

Your luck is with you today. Go buy a lottery ticket and see if you can continue the streak!

KS code is a secondary code to the injector issue you're having. Chances are they're good and the correct voltmeter will verify. Ohm test them before going through the trouble of replacing them.

KS are ohming good. No need to change them other than for preventative maintenance while you have the plenum off.
TmaCular wrote:...... i pulled the whole harness off the 92 will those injectors work with my car....
No. You have a 94Q and the FI are not interchangeable with a 90-93Q.

With lots of spray lube you need to be able to get the FI to twist 360 degrees in the fuel rail cup before they'll pull out. At this age they're so brittle that using any hand tool (i.e. screwdriver, pliers) will break the plastic housing. Once they're lubed enough to rotate I pull them out by forming a noose out of a small diameter (3/16") piece of rope and pulling straight up with a steady pressure. If lubed with penetrant they'll pop right out.

If you compare them side by side, you will see the 94 are not the same as 92 injectors.. The 94s have a different style tip, different physical sizes, etc...

I would personally get yourself 3 used from http://www.deatschwerks.com/catalog/ they are about $50 each (thats what I paid about a year ago)... it would CERTAINLY be a downgrade to install early injectors on a later car, even though TECHNICALLY you can get them to work...

The fuel rails are different, and the connectors are different, but the entire injector/fuel rail/harness assembly can be swapped from 90-93 to 94-96. However the 94 injectors are far superior to the early style ones (more reliable), and typically if 90-93 owners have more than 1-2 injectors to replace, they will upgrade to 94 style injectors.

thanks for the heads up...spoke with chris i can only order a full set from him now which is 623 (a good price but not for me at the moment) so i did find 3 on ebay all from OEM working motors under 40k..not sure y they were pulled that early but he insured me they are 100% ohmed and flow tested to oem standards 44.99 each buy it now...for now im going that route until i can afford to just replace all of them along with KS when i decide to get off my fat A** and take the plenum off haha...when number 4 decides to go then it shall be time i guess :)...also where can i purchase the redline from..i checked all local auto part stores and no one has heard of it or can get it for me...autozone, carquest and murrays
