The water is ONLY under the floor mat. The pillars and the carpet on the side of the doors are completely dry. It has been raining a lot lately but it's rained plenty since I've owned the car and this is the first time I've had a ton of water under my floor mat. I've done as much research as possible as to what it could be. I checked the drains at the sunroof and they don't seem to be clogged at the sunroof but I dont know where they lead to or how to check the bottom end. I also don't know where the A?C drain is located or how to check that.Within the past week I know I've driven through some deep puddle rather quickly so is it possible that a grommit came out somewhere? Any and all advice is greatly appreciated because I need to figure this out before I run in to a mold problem. Thanks in advance guys!
Take it to to the shop and ask them to check for a gap between the front windshield the window frame. If the windshield has been replaced and the caulking was sub par, you will have a water leak.
I did not have pooling of water, however, I did have water leaking onto the body control module and that caused my car not to start, water seeped into the control module, this resulted into wet contacts during heavy rain, wet melting snow and car washes.
Note that the key less entry control module is right next to the body control module, both of these modules will cost you a ton of money and tons of hours in labour.
Hae you have the windshield replaced?
