Your taking these skills for granted. They arnt so simple, you are wrong.Armelius wrote:You just don't comprehend how people are socialized. It's very simple so simple that people don't even recognize it when it happens.
The study of this is called Sociology. I dont think its the governments fault, although bush still is in office so i cant really be sure.Armelius wrote: The thing is I seen it happen more than once and it's not just high school. I am not just talking uniforms in public school or certain things children do on their own. They are guided and even socialized into doing what everyone else does. You would say it isn't wrong but there is some fundamental questions that even an adult can't answer.
I got mad because you made an incredibly insensitive remark that seemed to portray you as very callused and cold person. Im not going to get into the personal reasons i have for being pissed off, because they are irrelevant. It also made me angry because the remark didnt support your argument in the least.Armelius wrote:You can get mad all you want but so far I haven't seen someone home schooled open up on a group a students. Which doesn't even compare to the point I made above it's just a fact.
Man, come up with a cooler conspiracy theory please. This ones not even entertaining.Armelius wrote:The point I am trying to argue because I only know public schools is that it's a center for goverment/corporate socialization because that is what the school system is. Quasi government corporation that is meant to move children in an efficient matter with the main goal as being a loyal citizen that doesn't question the fundamental reason or ask what was the main reason for the socialization in the first place.
Oh so socialization and interacting with peers, groups, social settings isnt what a kid needs, i see.Armelius wrote:The answer isn't to interact with fellow students and learn how to properly behave in group settings.
So what we should have starts with a K1 national football league. Middle school can be replaced by learning how to fill out IRS forms(Hey this one might be useful!), and maybe for highschool we should just do stock trading classes. There could be a national 'kiddie stock market' where play money was used and the biggest holders got the scholarships to college!Armelius wrote:My answer is

Check your numbers.480sx wrote:
We(USA) have had hmm, 2-3 school shootings involving students?
Couldnt be that far off, off the top of your head how many? Shootings of students involving students at school.charlieo wrote:

What exactly should i be researching? I know the requirements of graduating.. I came from public schools. If your inferring that i should study sociology or child development that would be even more hilarious because you seem to have little to no grasp on the subject at all.Armelius wrote:Do some research. Find out what are the requirements of graduation. And then tell me I am wrong. So far you are just repeating what I say and laughing about it. If you are going to debate or argue then you might want to study up.
I don't know...maybe the founding fathers of the US were conspirators...is that cool?480sx wrote:

I am talking about government socialization of the students. Unless you think a student receives most of his/her socialism from their peers.480sx wrote:Oh so socialization and interacting with peers, groups, social settings isnt what a kid needs, i see.
that is what is called laughing with not really coming up with an argument.480sx wrote:

Maybe then they could learn how to drive, not do drugs, which POLITICAL PARTY TO ASSOCIATE THEMSELVES WITH(seriously the level of hypocrisy here is reaching absurd levels). For advanced lessons they can go to a sarcasm class and learn how deal with a Fahrenheit 911 style government with a little bit of humor.
Dude, im not sure if your really supporting the things your typing or just joking. Im really sorry if your just being sarcastic or whatever, but the things you type are mind boggling.
Where do I say I have a degree in Sociology? Are you a liar or just don't know how to read?480sx wrote:I made my argument that you pretty much ignored. That laughing at you part was my argument. Its more fun that way. I really cant take you seriously guy, the things you say are so absurd. Still, your dismissing the real argument because im poking fun at your ideas while arguing them.
For claiming to have a degree in sociology while saying things like kids dont need peer to peer and group socialization is ridiculous.
"Government socialization of the students". WHAT THE @#$% ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! Are you HONESTLY saying that a child receives more of his social skills from the government than from his peers?!
Oh noez! The dude who thinks its wrong that society judges people on credentials goes out to attack mine, while thinking his own matter on the interwebz! Oh man, this is getting brutal.
Armelius wrote:Yeah, you should study sociology. I have. I have a BA what do you have again?
You cant see how your use of the English language could lead people to believe that you had a degree in sociology?Armelius wrote:

So is everything that a child/adolescent/adult does and experiences. This is the kind of ridiculous **** you keep saying thats going to cause me to stop wasting time with you.Armelius wrote:Just putting children in a classroom and making them sit down and be quiet is a form of socialization.
Armelius wrote:What type of education do you have? You haven't spent any money yet have you?
I would get into an in depth conversation with you about your last 'point' but for real, i feel like im being brought down by this 1 on 1. Iv made countless points that you have ignored, and your last 'point' is just a redirect with the goal to get your bizarre argument on whatever track you think your still on. If someone else wants to fvk with you on the point you were trying to make, more power to them.480sx wrote:Oh noez!
