Hey guys,

I have a 90' NA with the stock early style PTU. I've been searching around trying to figure out how to install a newer style one, but all the posts on various sites are like bits and pieces. I know the newer style ones had a different sub-harness. What exactly would I need to do to install a newer style PTU and sub-harness (from a 93+ z32) into my stock wiring harness?

Thanks!

Ok I think I answered my own question after finding a thread on aus300zx.com and drawing myself a picture of what was going on. So I think it goes like this, correct me if I'm wrong:

1. Get a new style PTU and it's connectors
2. Cut the wires going to either side of the old PTU
3. Solder wires B1-6 (old) to I1-6 (new) and wires C1-6 (old) to E1-6 (new).
4. Solder the ground wire "E" (old) to "G" pin (new) by adding a few inches of wire
5. Tape/clean everything up

Good to go?
