i have a problem iv been through 3 ptu`s and cylinder #1 keeps shorting out-done a continuty test from coilpacks to ptu, double and triple checked wiring harness, check cas just in case.

i really dont know where to look now,i tried a S2 ptu and same thing, and with the S2 it melted coilpack #1.

Any advice please?

Could it be my ecu perhaps?

Have you checked the harness that runs in front of the engine. Sometimes it can be damaged from the fan if it's not secured and short out causing that exact issue.

just run an ohm test between the ptu and the coil pack, if its way above the other cylinders then you have an issue.

PTU relocation is also good as it keeps it out of the heat.
