Hey guys,
so today i had the unfortunate displeasure of the M56 timing chain failure. :wtf2:
it failed on a large blvd, car started jolting and basically slowed down to a crawl.
so i had it towed to Infiniti of Bayside. the service team was very professional and diagnosed the timing chain issue in the car quickly. all in all i was done in about 20 min.
He said that i was very lucky because the recall expires on the 28th if i remember correctly and that it will take em a couple of days to get it done.
So my advice is if you haven't had the failure yet, you should take your car so they can inspect the timing chain!
Hope ya'll are having a better day than me!
Take care guys!

Yep, this forum has a large thread based around the recall with a lot of information within.

Interesting to hear that the recall expires...recalls shouldn't expire IMO. If a car hasn't had it done, then whether the car is 1yr old or 10, it should be able to get done as it's a fault design from the factory.
