I can. Sony has long been famous for their ***hole rights-management tactics. They've never been afraid to step on the toes, heads, and balls of paying customers in order to stretch their antipiracy reach as far as possible.Nali wrote:But i dont own a PS3 so i cant be sure, and i would find it hard to believe Sony would be more racial about their content than MS.
Here is what you need to know:- Your Playstation Network username and password.- Where to find your Download menu._b.jaye_ wrote:wonderin if i can play games i've downloaded when im offline? i picked up the extra modern warfare levels & took it to a friends house who didnt have broadband, only to find out i had to be online to play the damn things.
so, am i gonna run into the same problem if i download a game & take it somwhere i cant jump online?
Ya dont do that. The HDD in the PS3 is liked to the specific console. So if you took yours out and put it in your firends it would reformat the drive b/c the serials or what ever it uses dont match up. If you really wanted to do this you would have to make a backup and then restore the backup on his ps3 w/ your hdd.Nali wrote:If the DRM on PS3 is anything like the 360However if you took your harddrive only then there might be a problem.
Any thing you DL on the Playstation Network is available to you any where you go. You also can use COD4 DLC maps offline, but you need to be online at one point to DL them. If not, then you might be able to put it on an SD card, but I doubt it._b.jaye_ wrote:is there any way to know, before shelling out for DL'able content if i will or wont be able to make use of it offline?
issue is, i take the PS to some places where i just flatout dont have access to an internet connection.
