PS making sound

i recently swaped motors and when i did so i unbolted the PS pump and put it aside while i did the swap and when i went to put back in i couldnt get 2 of the bolts in so i left it and now it makes a horrible high pitch whine is the tension of the belt pulling the pully off axis causing the sqeauling or is it something else

I'm guessing you need those bolts back in.. haha.

Seriously tho, It's probably a loose belt since you don't have the power steering pulley correctly mounted. Either get it mounted correctly, or take it off - those are sort of your only 2 options.

Take the belt off, turn on the car - shouldn't be making any more noise.

Now put the belt back on and tighten it down to factory specs or "pretty tight".

If it still makes a sound, your pulley may be gone - my tensioner pulley actually separated from the bearing itself - which caused the pulley to not spin always and make the nasty squeak, you can check that too.

actually im pretty sure i forgot to tighten the tensioner pully ill try that, thanks
