It's been a while since Ive posted, buuuuuuut I Just Purchased a Y33, 1997 because I like the 4 piece tail lights best, but anyway I was writing to ask a couple questions about easily obtainable upgrades.....
1. Procedure to upgrade halogens to black face xenons, is there any modifications to be done?
2. Can the sunscreen from the 2000 ae q45 fit in the 97? has anyone done it?
3. Anyone with used coilovers sitting around?!
4. And where can I buy stock xenon ballasts?
Thanks In Advance!

1. People have done this with donor cars and also kits off eBay. Personally I never did this because of the amount of work and expense.
2. Not that i have seen, you'd have to do alot of work to get it to fit.
3. Good luck with that, I bought brand new ones....unless you find lightly used ones or rebuild used ones at the end of the day the BC"s are the real choice. If you do not have the Touring model you can use Magen's but they are suppose to be built by BC anyways.
4. Everythinginfiniti.com is actually Scottsdale Infiniti, they sell OEM parts at a discount on mail order. I'd call them, they used to give NICO members a discount and I have had good luck with them.

Meanwhile, show us some pictures. How many miles on the car? if you have not done all fluids (transmission, power steering, brakes, differential, etc that is your first order of business. Since these cars are now approach 20th birthdays most people started to neglect them. That is your best money spend, do high quality synthetics (mobile 1 at least, Redline or Amsoil at best) and then go from there. If you're on an original suspension it is most likely shot.

Thanks for the response I shall post pics when i put my front end back together, it has 150xxx on it and it's expresso pearl. I will flush everything before I start driving it, because honestly, I want to VIP it and hopefully keep it for a while

If you want VIP than the BC Coilovers are in your future...that will get you a great stance without having to go too low. Start flushing :)
