Heres the scoop:

***But its not installed in my car yet***

Guy says he has been building it up for several years waiting to put it into his drifter 240sx when his blacktop blows up. I come up there looking to spend like 50 bucks on a battery relocation kit and wind up getting a 2500 dollar engine. He says he has run the motor before and he will post a video soon. It can run at 360hp at i believe 14-20lbs of boost. im running stock at 7psi for now until i get a feel for the car.

Expected to get it installed and running around March/April this year.

need a koyorad, z32 maf, z32 fuel filter, and many other things...

bought the motor at JNR motorsports and will get it installed there too.

haha the first time i drove my 240 wit ha stock redtop i was shaky. hahai was liek damn this thing is fast. then igot a boost controller and oubled the boost. and it would break loos ine 3rd gear. and i was crap. but then the clutch started slipping. but yeasounds like a good deal.it is weird that is doesnt have new cams in it.i would try to find out if it does so you dotn go replacing aftermarket cams.for that turbo i would recomend 264 cams but yea nice deal man.

haha, now im nervous! lol nah i think im ready i mean, a turbo is definitely a big boost to my driving experience, no pun intended. So 264 cams? ite i'll ask him if the cams are aftermarket. im not doin too much with the car right now, just gonna daily drive it, although this summer will be a big drift/carshow summer, so getting other necessary engine parts probably will be a must!

You got a really good deal! I thought I got a good deal on mine. Car's looking real good though. You'll have loads of fun driving it. Don't sweat the extra power. After a week or two you'll become numb to it and wonder what happened to the power. That's when it's time to turn up the boost a bit.

I don't know if you'll be able to get 360 whp out of the GT28RS. I have the HKS GT2530 and they're very similar. At 20 psi you'll probably be in the low 300 whp range. It doesn't seem like much but the powerband and spool up time are great. I get a full boost at 3500 rpm and it pulls hard all the way to redline. For some reason I can feel a huge extra pull at about 6000 rpm on up to redline also. I've been running only 10 psi mostly but I've just recently adjusted my wastegate to run about 14psi.

nice man, i dont know how to ajust the boost yet with a manual boost controller but i hope to turn up the boost a bit later on.

i got the numbers of 360whp from garretts website

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/...1.htm

* Ball bearing * Oil & Water-cooled bearing system * Upgrade turbocharger for GT2554R (471171-3) and GT2560R (466541-1); turbine housing flanges are outline interchangable * T25 turbine inlet flange * Great size for applications w/ packaging constraints * Ideal for smaller displacement engines making up to 36 0 hp * Turbine Housing option available

so idk yet, hopefully i can get those types of numbers

The site said 360 hp, so I'm assuming it's hp at the crank. I'm not saying it's impossible but I remember doing a research back then about the GT28RS and HKS's GT2530. Common numbers came out to about 280 and 290 whp. If you remember in Sport Compact Car magazine. They used a GT28RS on their Project Silvia car. IIRC, it was 274 whp @ 17 psi. They ended up running low 13's on street radials with that set up though, so don't sweat the lower numbers. My motor pulled 270 whp @ 17 psi on a mustang dyno also. I was a little dissapointed , but like I said, the power band and spool up is really great for the street. It's just we all would like to see atleast a 3 in front of that dyno reading. To make myself feel better, 270 whp should equal about 300 crank hp.

o i get it! lol im just getting into the whole tuning thing and jsut starting to relaize the difference between crank, and wheel hp. two very different numbers, o well, i guess it would be a good time to round up then lol.

You might be able to adjust boost using your wastegate actuator. If you have threads on the rod of your actuator. Shortening up the rod will increase your psi.

Look how similar our set ups are, here are my power adder and support mods:

Next up will be a turbo elbow and Tomei exhaust manifold. Hopefully those will help bring me closer to 300hp.

Nice dude!!! Don't forget it looks like you landed an HKS air filter which runs about $100!

Score, I never trust anybody a random persons build but if he sounds like he knows what he is talking about then go for it! =D
