So my friend was driving down the road yesterday and saw a black fastback with a for sale sign on it. When he went to take a closer look, he saw it was a 1989 with 81,000 miles on it. Since I have been looking for a 240 and he already has one, he gave me a call. I called the guy who owned it, made an appointment that same day to drive it.

Since I can't drive stick, my dad and my friend who spotted it drove it. Apparently it shifts incredibly smooth through all 5 gears. Runs great. The exterior is in great condition except for a little peeling on the rear bumper and by the middle brake light.

It was recently tuned, serviced and inspected. all of this.. for 1500. What an incredible find.

My first car, My first 240.. pics coming soon

Dude I wouldn't sweat it Re: learning clutch. Clutches are made to be worn, so so what if you burn one up learning: you saved enough buying the car to afford another one. j/k. Nice find, hope you enjoy it!

Wow, congratulations! Very clean 240, an 89 with only 81K miles for 1500 thats a steal. I dont think you could've gotten a better deal. Good luck with it and with learning stick lol. Dont worry I'm learning too. Harder then you would think, but it just takes a lot of practice and a good friend who will let you practice on their car. What are your plans for your new 240? Damn, your sooo lucky...what a deal lol

upon further inspection/cleaning, i found the *** hid a huge hole in the carpet underneath the floor mats.. the metal underneath isnt rusted or anything so thats good.. other than that.. the standard new seats will be required and new back seats also.. if anyone wants to sit in the back or that small *** car..

PLEASE DON'T CRASH IT!(refer to the 'wreck' thread in this forum)

The S13 is a tricky car for a new driver, you may luck out and learn the car's quirks and adjust very well to it, or you may just do what that other kid did and drive 15mph *over* in a 30mph speed limit zone and understeer into a tree. First mod, and the best one: high quality tires. Throwing on some 'futurama' tires from Pepboys will not cut it--ESPECIALLY when it rains. I highly recommend Bridgestone RE950's for wet-weather performance. Learn the car's quirks in a isolated, safe environment and keep it civil on the streets.

btw, NICE FIND!

pop the headlight switch out, snip the brown wire, put a end wire cap on and voila. Insta-sleepy eyes. I have charged people 10 dollars to do this mod, make sure they pay you up front and it'll be better if they dont see you do the 'trick'
