Just bought a surprisingly clean example of a 2001 Q45T!!! It has 197k miles (a lot I know) but seems to be doing great despite that.
The struts are surprisingly not blown and all 4 seem to be doing quite well just by an initial bounce test. The first of the owners (uncle of 2nd owner) was an alleged Infiniti fanatic and only took it to the dealer for service (was also big into Stevie Ray Vaughn).
From my very inexperienced inspection everything seems to be fine although there is some leaking. Other weird stuff is some kind of weird intermittent sputtering when idle that stops when the break is completely down or during acceleration (pretty sure it’s a vacuum leak) and the nav/ac thing reads to insert program disc despite having the map disc in it.
Any advice for me? :dblthumb:

Make it a habit of searching the local pull a part wrecking yards on line and start collecting parts. So for 2001 there was the Y33 model and the F50 model. Which one do you have? In 2001 Infiniti only sold 5700 Q45's in the USA, so finding parts will be a challenge. The dealer is not going to be much help. Most dealer techs only know the last 5 or 10 years of car models. Quote "From my very inexperienced inspection everything seems to be fine". Maybe this is not the car for you, especially with 197K miles. This kind of car should not be your daily driver. Good luck.

I’m so exited to learn!! I have the Y33 and from a quick glance there is a local junkyard with a 93.

The '93 is a G50 chassis Q45 ('90-'96) and shares almost no parts with your Q45.
