Car: 2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe

Post

I bought a 2003 G35 Coupe about three weeks ago. I had been driving a 99' Acura TL. I had owned honda's my entire adult life (4 Acuras, 2 Accords and a CBR). The TL was a piece of garbage. Everything that should never break on a honda, did.

I wanted to get a luxury coupe, so I took my wife and went shopping. We drove a couple of BMW's and the whole time she was doing a great job of playing bad cop. She'd complain about the smallest things to try and give us leverage with the sales people. We drove a 330Ci and I was convinced that I wanted it. I had talked to her about how I wanted to drive a G35 coupe. She didn't know what it was, but she pushed me to at least drive it before we bought the BMW. We went down the street, and the Infiniti place had my car. She got in the passenger seat and I was waiting for her to make a rude comment about the car (Bad Cop). Instead she said, "I like this, lets get it". I didn't have anywhere to go with that.

The G35 has so much more power and style than the BMW. I love it.

Hope to be part of the forum for a long time. Thanks.

I am new here as well. I was trying to find some aftermarket goodies.... I just got my 04 coupe. It had 17k miles. I drive 36k/year. How well will it hold up? This car has no door dings or scratches of anykind. I am so happy. It makes me happy to drive. I am learning about it more and more. i BLEW A 911 OFF THE ROAD. It makes a great sound accelerating...

Also, I would like to say that in finding my car it was quite the undertaking. I shopped around and had a bad problem with Bob Moore Infiniti - in Edmond Oklahoma. If anyone is interested let me know.

I bought mine off an individual the day after this issue. I won't go back there and want to tell people to avoid them as well.

I have one small rattle from around the shift console. It stops when I grab the side of the console. So it should be easily fixable.

I had the same rattle - Fixed under warranty.

I, too, had a tough time finding my car - I searched for 3 months, nationwide, to get the color, interio, and features I wanted... Finally found THE ONE in Atlanta, and haven't regretted a second of it.

I can't imagine a more perfect car (well, rip out the crappy audio system might help)...

The first thing most people upgrade, is the intake. I have the JWT Popcharger with the Z-tube, which in my opinion is the best bang-for-buck mod you can do. Next on the list would be the 3/8 intake riser, cat-back exhaust, short-throw shifter, clutch, upgraded rotors/pads/tires...money is the only drawback.

Personally, I installed a subwoofer/amp to the stock system, and I'm very happy with the results. Enjoy your new car!
