I don't understand why you still have Proto fixing your car up to now. Maybe they sell defective car parts, etc. and deceive people by raising the price, so they can make extra or more money for themselves.

Be careful when you appear in court. Don't go alone. Bring people with you. You'll never know what could happen outside of the court or even inside. You'll never know what other bad things these Proto People can do. Be safe.

Whats up with these double post They aren't fixing my car they haven't touched it for over 8 months, there's no way I would ever let them work on my car again. As far as being safe these guys aren't gonna do **** its not like I got ripped of for buying drugs and guns or something if they had any balls they would have manned up a while ago.

Sorry for the double post. I'm new to the site and wasn't sure if my first mail got sent because I didn't see it within a few minutes after I sent it. Good luck in getting a writ of execution from the court to get a lien against their business. They can't get away with their lies. Getting a lien is a good idea to put an end to their scamming.

1 you got hosed2 8000 is high but concidering the paint job as a painter, if that is really candy apple red, not some candy look alike paint, that right there is a $3,000 paint job. Granted you said it needs to be compounded thats $150 bucks in wetsanding an buffing.

You got hosed, but not totaly imo, stock would infer stock everything, the bodywork seems pretty good to me, and i do body and paint work.

Hi. I'm as inquisitive as others about the outcome of your case in court with the protoscammers. How did it go?

Well it didn't go anything as planned which i still can't understand. The BAR files I had sent to the court already were suppose to be a guaranteed 1200 dollars. So i went expecting that at the least. I went there met with James and before we went into court he offered 2000 to settle it before talking to the judge. I declined thinking i should get more and at the least i would get 1200 which i would be OK with. The hearing took place and the judge said he would have the decision in a week or so i get the verdict and I am awarded nothing! I'm not upset being there nothing i can do and I learned a valuable lesson but i just don't understand how i received nothing. I have now invested over 16,000 dollars in my car to get it running in correct order which is absolutely ridiculous i could have had a brand new car for that. Anyways i just wanted to let everyone know what happened. If you read this James the least you could do is send me my grill which you never sent me, that's the least you could do man. Either way i have shared my experience here and I am happy with at least knowing i did thee best i could to fix this problem and hopefully this will help people in the future with their decision before dealing with Proto.

You can file a complaint with the CA Bureau of Automotive Repair about your crappy experience with them. You know, a person from another website found out that their license is deliquent! It's been expired since last year! You can google the owner of Protomotoring and you'll see the thread about their license being delinquent.

So you can tell CA Bureau of Auto Repair about your experience and file a complaint to put an end to their shady business. If nobody files a complaint, they will continue to be in the business of ripping people off. Is that what we all want? I don't think so.
