I would never pay what I did for a car like that againDr.Fate wrote:Here's my Story with the the shady mofo's know to us as Protomotoring, soon to known as Sh$tyymotoring. I asked them (proto) if they had any s14 and would they be willing to trade for a s13 coupe Silvia front, 5spd, 300zx brakes f/b etc... and the guy on the phone said yeah but it's a four lug. I said okay are you guys willing just to trade shells (with a little money on top) and he said yeah but only out side the shop. I'm like okay, I'll get back to you, I hang up the phone and don't call back. The reason why I did not go thru with the trade/deal or buy anything from them was: 1.I called the shop and it took 3 calls for them to pick the phone. 2. The guy on the phone reffered to me as "Hommie" several times (Not the most professional thing to do, when dealing with cars.) 3. The outside of the shop deal, I'm not talking to be talking but when dealing with the s13/s14 or any car for that matter If your SPIDEY sense is tingling don't do the deal Sorry for your loss Brother, I feel your pain.
P.S. Next time you pay 8,000.00 for a car that's ten years old, it had better have 400hp to wheeels, JMO.

Protomotoring sound like Proscamotoring.
" It specifically states no electrical or damaged caused by overheating is covered. I'm sorry about this whole situation and this situation rarely does occur because I know what I'm selling." , yeah a piece of junk.
Wow looks like they really cover overheating problems, wonder if like broken rod would be covered.
"Cars with over 100k miles and over 10 years old need special attention if they are going to be drifted or raced out." LOL drift tax guess that's why you had to pay $8500.
"To make a long story short I did agree to change the headgasket but once I told him that the resurfacing of the head was gonna cost $400 dollars and I asked for half, he wanted to pik up the car and have his mechanic fix it."Guess thsi is why they removed the thermostat, LOL at least he knows what resurfacing the head means, I assume.
"The asking price was around 7K the way it was. We wheeled and dealed and we agreed to paint the vehicle (candy red) and take care of all the paperwork and reg out the door for 8K which was a pretty good deal because the paint job is worth about 1500 and taxes, tags, smog, doc almost add up to be around 800 bucks." What were you actually gonna sell him a unpainted car for $7000
Man these guys are MOFOS, f@cking up 240sx rep, thinking that 240sx are now popular because of tFatF and trying to rip people off
All I can say what goes around comes around, man KARMA IS A MadaFaker
Welcome to Nico! I wrote early in the post that i have reported them to the better business bureau. For cars you actually have to go through the business of automotive repairs which is what i did, it was very easy and convenient. They cant really do to much to help you out though other then doing some mediation that's about all they can too. In my situation they contacted proto and got both stores and after investigating everything James had agreed the the guy given my case to pay me a certain amount. I talked to him and tried to set up payments but he had no plans of paying me so that why i took it to court. I doubt i will even get paid if I win this court case, i most likely will have to get a writ of execution from the court in order to get a lien against their business. The one good thing about the bureua is for court i now have documents i had to subpoena from them to show what happened and that will show Proto guilt right there, just the fact they already agreed to pay me.namas wrote:It's suprising that nobody has filed a complain about their crappy experience at Protomotoring to the Better Business Bureau. By doing so, people who do very extensive research about Proto will find out that they are shady, cold, dishonest, etc. not only from this website, but also from the Better Business Bureau. This makes it more known to the public because not everyone is registered on this website to find out that Proto scams people.
