Ok so i have a motor out of a 92 hardbody that ive decided to put in a motorless '79 z car (actual year could be different) i'm acquiring before long. The truck has an ecm and all that mess in it so my question is would it be better to carb the motor or swap the electronics over when i put the motor in?

Right now the block is at the machine shop gettin cleaned and speced out. im probably going to bore the motor about .030 over with slightly lower compression pistons. I plan on boosting 5-7 psi after the motors broke in.

How do carbed 24e motors perform in a boosted application? I know ecm controlled motors overall do better on gas mileage but carbed motors are easier to work on.

Im building this car pretty much from the ground up to be a warmed up daily driver so im looking for reliability and ease of repair.

If you want it reliable and easy to repair, I recommend leaving it fuel injected. You will also have a lot more support if you do have an issue since 100% of everybody else running that engine is fuel injected. If you go your own route with a carb, you will basically be the only one who knows about your setup and therefore any issues you may have, you will have to figure out on your own more than likely.
