Not to say mechanics should be looked down at. Nothing wrong with blue collar work and do be a good and competent mechanic can require being incredibly smart.... So admit what you are and stop trying to fool yourself (and others)

I never said anything bad about those schools. I was planning on going to UTI before I found TSTC and I have friends from H.S. who went to UTI here in Texas.

I said Technician over mechanic because he's trying to tell me the field is lame. I was merely being sarcastic.

apparently the city is too poor to pay for it with the economy... so if you hit one they no longer cover it... it even made the news and stuff here... people were pissed cause our roads kinda blow

Alright, putting nitrogen in your tires is a waist of time and money! Think about it. The air we breath is 78%nitrogen and 21% oxygen. When they put nitrogen in your tires, do they suck out all the air in there when they put the tire on? NO! so, they are still mixing nitrogen with oxygen anyway. The only real benefit you will ever noticeably gain is that nitrogen expands at a predictable rate where as oxygen, not as predictable. Race teams use nitrogen because the truck they drive up in uses nirogen to power their tools, so the nitrogen is already there and they save weight in the truck only needing 1 tank instead of 2 tanks and an air compressor.

Yeah, nitrogen has bigger molecules so your tires will loose pressure more slowly than with regular air, but honestly, how often do you need to air up your tires if there aren't any leaks? Almost NEVER!
