Uh ,, WOT can be achieved in any gear , Including neutral ! :gapteeth:
What are you attempting ? Blowing out Carbon ?
I remember Q45TECH saying going redline a few times a week is a good thing.
I leave my J in second and run it up to redline a few times , 2 or three times a week.
You can smell it when its working :naughty:

engine rpm is what matters, not vehicle speed.
I just put it in 2nd and open her up, bouncing her off redline a few times.

My only advice is to do your WOT runs after the car has fully warmed up.

WARNING: WOT may be addictive and may cause wallet depletion

Down here at the sube dealership I have been exchanging the Q with a couple WRX & Legacy GT's the techs own. They love hammering on the v8. In return those 4 bangers take a beating. But they eat corners. Rallied up the mountain on Greylock the other day with a couple of them.
They smoked 2 tanks of gas on the Q in 5 days.

I can attest to that! Ever since I deleted the suitcase resonator I punch it through the tunnel near my house from time to time just to hear that wicked high-RPM growl. :naughty: I think I can actually see the needle on the fuel gauge drop... :ohno:
