I have a question for those who have a lowered S13 with 17" wheels. How much did you have to lower your car to completely get rid of the fender gap? I'm talking a little to no gap... What kind of springs/coilover and shocks did you use?

This is how I want to lower my car:

Well, to get that big of a drop you're going to have to go with coilovers. If you're looking for just a big drop with no performance or ride improving quality either get Tein basic coilover ($800) or some cheap dropzones or sumthin. I don't suggest the dropzones really but they will DROP you're car hardcore. And just so you know there are no springs available which provide a drop over 2.2 inches.

Thanks. Do you know if the KYB AGX can handle a 3" drop or whatever height is necessary to get rid of the fender gap? I know that KYB will void your warranty if you drop your car over 2" with the AGX's.

What strut choices do I have for a coilover setup? I'm not really too obsessed about dropping my car. In fact, I'm willing to sacrifice an inch or so to save my struts from blowing. I also don't auto-x so performance is not important to me. I've looked at the Eibach Pro Kit/AGX combo and didn't like most of the outcome I've seen. I might just go with Sportline/AGX but I've only seen one pic with 15" wheels.

Also, is there anyone out there using a cheap eBay coilover kit with high performance struts?

For that big of a drop you should get a complete coil over setup that includes matched dampers. I don't know of any standard or adjustable strut that can hold up to that big of a drop. A drop on threaded sleeve unit is not going to cut it.
