What should the temp gauge show on the dohc cluster? mine is sitting a little more than a notch below the middle. also, my idle is fluctuating no more than 50 rpms (~800 - ~850). the reason i am asking this is because i have yet to tune my s-afc2 and wondering if the overly rich conditions are causing this..i do know slow and cold = rich and fast and hot = lean..but it seems fast to me, but haven't been to the drag strip to test it out, because i don't want to run my motor that hard w/ it being rich. Get back at me.

It seems to me like you are running just fine. When I had the DOHC cluster, I was idling right around 800 RPM. My temp gauge never moves from the middle. Do me a favor though, swap in the JDM 9000 RPM tach and tell me if you still idle at 800 RPM. When I put in my JDM tach, the idle went up to 1100 RPM but still sounds the same.

I've got the JDM tach and my idle is 850.

I idle at 1100 on the JDM tach too, I was wondering if this is too high? what is the ideal idle speed?

Did you ever have the USDM tach in there? If so, what was your idle on that one?

I had it in there with the car running, but I was still in the process of working the bugs out of it. so the idle was very erradic. (I had a leak in my intake pipe.)

My JDM tack sits right at 850 which I think stock specs are 800 +-50.

My USDM temp gauge sits about one notch under halfway.
