Proper Operating temp for sr20de

Just wondering what is the oem operating temp for SR20 motors. does anyone have part number for Temperature Switch. Also is there a diffrence between n/a and turbo temp switches. thanks and merry christmas

There is a difference between the sensors, because turbo motors have JDM specs they differ from the USDM N/A motor. You need to use a USDM sensor for a SR20DE. Any auto parts store should have one or the dealer. If not, try http://www.gspecperformance.com.

The operating temp's should be around 180 degrees, fans should come on around 212.

Nissan uses coolant temperature to alert ecu to summer overheats and protectively starts declining ignition advance at 195.0F by 1 degree per 5F to a max of 5 degrees at 220F.

Ideally the coolant should be 174F and not exceed 194F read and study FSM.
