My name is Joshua Lohse and I have owned this 94' for about 2.5 years now.I am a student at the local community college majoring in computer engineering and looking to transfer to UCSB.

When we were looking for a car we went to a local car lot looking for a Honda CRX that looked mint, but we found that it sold within two hours of being listed. We test drove this car thinking that it was over our $5k budget, but we got it down to $4800. The interior was perfect, the body had some issues, particularly the front and rear bumpers; flaking clear coat and a lifetime of stone chips from the highways around the bay area. The car came with 17" BBS wheels ($300 a piece), and Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 255-45-17 ZR rated tires. These tires were too wide though causing rubbing during U-turns, thus the inner side of the tires were worn to the chords. We replaced them with BFgoodrich g-force Super Sport A/S, which are the one of the best A/S tires out there.

Currently I am working on a spare front bumper to be prepped for paint (thanks Cliff!). Also, I am working with my dad on his 1967 MGB GT which is in the picture later in the post. I have not had any issues with the q thus far as we have replaced the fuel pump as a preventative measure, as well as the battery of course. The only problem I had was when trying to change the diff oil, the filler plug and drain plug were way over torqued and the threads weren't clean the last time it was replaced. Luckily I had the muffler we cut off of the MG to use as a breaker bar extension to break loose the plugs.

I hope to have the bumper finished soon to be painted when it gets warmer out. This forum has been great, I have learned a lot that I would have never learned; I probably would have not learned this much if I didnt buy this car. So here it is, the only picture I have so far:

Here is the list of what I want to do when I have proper funds:-Brake pads-Valve Cover gaskets-Transmission mount-Sub-frame bushings-Steering rack bushings

Thanks!

DJ2? What is the offset and width of the BBS wheels? Looks like it might be +30mm, which would explain the rubbing.

I believe the offset is 35 mm for the RX 17x8. The wheel weight is 21 lbs.

Probably the first Q owner in the world that went to buy a CRX and left with a Q45!

The thing was I'm not into honda's or toyotas, I really dont like them at all. I would have liked to gone with an RX-7, but this was a learning experience and now I would never give the Q up.
