I purchased my Greddy BOV today and all the instructions are in Japanese so of course I can't read them. I don't have a stock Recirc. valve so I'm not quite sure how to hook this thing up correctly.

On the Type-S, there are 2 vacume fittings, one on the top and one on the bottom, then the big opening for the pressure to vent out of. I think that a vacume line from the throttle body runs to the line on top, but what runs to the line on the bottom? Also, if I plan to recirculate it, how would I go about doing this, is that what the line on the bottom of the valve is for or what?

I have also read that to install and adjust the BOV properly, you need to disassemble it and remove a spring. Is this necessary or is that just for the SR20DE's?

Thanks in advance.

2-vac fittings out the back. one out of the 'bottom' half and one out of the 'top' half. the top half vac is what to connect to the TB.. the smaller of the two top sources i think..

i honestly dont know what the lower one is for.. but recircing it is just a matter of running a tube from the large opening into the intake after the maf & before the turbo..

as for adjusting the spring.. just loosen the retaining bolt on top and turn that allen screw. Right is tighter, left is looser.

Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey. :)

As for those two vaccum ports, this kid I know had his BOV on his 2G DSM installed at this "performance" shop :roll. They have the vaccum T'd off and going to both ports. He rolled up and hes like "listen to it!" It made the infamous compressor surge sound, and I could hear the car crying. So I yelled at him and fixed the problem in a prompt manner.

Cliffs Notes:

DON'T HOOK UP BOTH LINES TO THE TB VACCUM SOURCE PLZKTHX.

The diagram that came with the Type-S only shows one line going to the BOV, and I think its just the top one (that's how I got mine hooked up anyway). I can't test it til the freakin car starts.

help, im hooking up my vacuum lines, but theres a problem, the vac line that came with my greddy BOV fits on the nipple perfectly....on the BOV side, however, the nipple on the TB is much too big for it to fit, what do i do?

And then push like the DlCKENS! You may have to give it a little "finess."

Are we still talking about the vaccume hose? (look at the icon and you'll understand)
