Hi there, I'm trying to get my EGR system to function properly. When everything is hooked up('92 S13 BTW), I get bad hesitations when driving.

Anyways, I read over the faq on 240sx.org. It wasn't overly verbose, so I wanted to be sure mine is bad before I buy another. I manually engaged the EGR 'plunger, and the engine nearly dies as it should.

I tested for vacuum on the top two ports. (this is all with it removed BTW)Neither will hold vacuum; I can blow through either one into the other. Air(vacuum)should only be allowed to pass through when the pressure on the bottom exhaust tap is elevated. I used a hand vac pump(in reverse), so the pressure should have been sufficient. One is supposed to be the vac source, the other to the EGR. I also applied a pressure to the bottom(exhaust tap) tube of the BPT: I can still blow air through the top two ports with little-to-change in restriction.

Can anyone back me up here?-Jamie
