Propeller Shaft U Joint Size Problem 93 Pathfinder

93 Pathfinder
Propeller shaft (rear shaft), inside locking universal joints.
Auto stores carry same one for 87-04.
Problem is lip for retaining ring extends too far, and when installing opposing side, snaps off (because there is not enough space, compared to the U joint that came out of it) so ring now cannot hold, (busted two u joints trying to install them).

Am thinking it is either a different propeller shaft than a stock pathfinder? Or is there a special u joint that is needed? Could not find any 'journal kits' at nissan dealers online in the state.

Really stumped as it is off by only a 1/16" maybe from what they have at the auto store.

Also propeller shaft has "P16" stamped up by one of the ears. Any way to tell if I have the right propeller shaft?

So anyone else have a problem with the store brands not fitting? Does it mean I have to drop $130 on U Joints instead of about $20?

Or maybe? http://www.oehq.com/oeparts_37126VB925.htm ... It's not the autozone, napa part I earlier compared with.

Problem fixed.
Got the GMB joints off of Partgeek.

Turns out hammering is not the answer, and these had to be pressed in, barely enough clearance to slide in the snap. Probably why hammering didn't work.
