Ok so i know that there has been an email circulating about comming up to see me and the fact that an email was sent out to ask for a refund. I realize that one set of lights had an issue and i am getting a new set sent out on monday for that individual. i also realize that there was a problem with the angel eyes and i have fixed all of those issues and have switched to a different manufacturer for those. I know people are wanting to back out on this now because they think there going to recieve a bad pair of lights and what not but its not the case. ever since the one set of lights went bad there hasnt been any major problems, i leak test everything before it goes out and i check all of the angel eyes before being sent out. im not trying to put the blame on shipping but half of the stuff that gets to me or members is getting badly damaged. one member recieved his lights yesterday and the wires and the high beam bulbs where removed at customs, they broke two of his tabs and he is going after fed ex for this. i am asking you guys ti believe me when i say that your lights will be top quality, if you arnt happy when you recieve them send me an email and i will cover the shipping to make sure they are the way you want. this is a business that i have and have always made sure that i can provide the best product for you. i stopped posting on the forums because i didnt like how things where handled and i just didnt want things to get more out of hand. i still check the posts and will be updating this one and the gb thread for you to make sure this gets finished. you guys can even check on toronto subaru club im a paying vendor on there and have done many sets without problems. Im registered with the government of canada so believe me i will be making sure everything is done right so not only will i not loose my license but i wont be letting any of you guys down. ive had someone ask for a refund, to be honest all of your deposits are tied up in your projectors and parts. i didnt make any money off of your deposits and to be honest im still getting emails about people wanting to get there lights done with me. I want to say im sorry that it has come to this and by no means did i plan for this or did i plan on putting out a bad product. please don't let one bad light stand in the way of things as this issue is being fixed. i didnt leave him stranded and im sure once he recieves the lights back he will be extremly happy with them. I just wanted to thank the guys who have also stood behind me when it has come to this as well, thank you for the emails and the support

No ones driving up to see you other than to pick up their lights (canada post sucks apparently)..

And again, I am only here to ensure member satisfaction.. Although it may seem like I may be "getting in your way" it is only to protect the members involved. Its not like i own stock in lightwurkz or something.

Is there another method of shipping that might avoid custom's excessive interference?

I haven't had any issues sending my kits up to Canada, but then again, they aren't very fragile either.

size becomes an issue, 2 headlight enclosures arent small and they are fragile...

Boxes get shipped back in the same way they were sent... each member needs to protect their own investment and use a sturdy box!

this is true guys make sure these boxes are very sturdy even if there a little bit larger and cost a bit more to ship its worth it, make sure there is insurance on them. with everylight set i will include a video and pictures to show everything working before i mail them out and then we will know if its actually something that happened in shipping or not. if i dont respond to emails over the next couple hours its because im going to be carving a bunch of pumpkins, we get a ton of kids at my house

From shipping stuff to a friend in Canada, the bigger the box and the more its secured (taped up well), the more they decide to check it out!

But thanks for the interesting read

Well I can attest first hand at some of the boxes, and how things were shipped to Brandon. I haven't said anything but if people send Lights to Brandon and its gets damaged in shipping to him, I do not think he responsible. The fact that he is replacing a light shipped to him broken is completely unfair. No Nico Fabricator would ever replace the product, nor should Brandon have to. My two cents he is replacing the light says a lot about him.

i just want to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to Brandon. Im pretty sure hes talking about me in the above quote. I didnt read this thread of the GB thread before i started making accusations and asking for a refund. Its just you have to understand (to me) when a mod of a forum sends out an email like that, I dont think before you act because you know (hope) that the mods are just doing their job and looking out for the members of the forum. Im still a newb to the car modding industry and forums, and sometimes i still have a blind eye in regards to things. This is the example that i told Brandon, and i know its bad, but... its like if your parents wake you up in the middle of the night and tell you the house is on fire. You dont stop to investigate and make sure its not a stupid drill before making a decision.....you get the eff out of the house as fast as you can(yes, yes, i know, bad example, but this has been a long day at work...lol).

Anyways once again i just wanted to publicly apologize to Brandon for what i did and said. He hasnt done anything to deserve any of this. Hes just trying to do his job, and if he'll accept my apology, i would like to still work with him in getting me a sweet set of projector retros.

Here are some guidelines regarding shipping:

Get insurance. It doesn't cost much (the insurance, not the customs fees) and it will save a lot of heart ache. I require this on all of my shipments even though damage to my products is laughable.

Pack it well- If you need to double box the lights or get lots of newspaper, do so. For the guys: consider these headlights like your balls. If you don't dampen the blows...enough said.

If someone wants to do a "Packing write-up", that might be helpful.

Mark it as Fragile- Hopefully the carrier will take this into consideration when they see it in conjunction with the insurance attached.

The only problem with marking anything as fragile, is usually when that sticker goes on, and it alleviates the company from any liability and working at an airport, fragile stickers are targets for bash the hell out of me.

I have been talking to brandon about the fogs, and they are a work in progress. We are looking for projectors that will fit right now. Just email him about them.

Hear are some projectors we are looking at modifying to fit.

Can we start asking questions before we jump to conclusions? I see the Altima community lashing against the staff too often and it hurts. We are all volunteers here and we do everything in the best interest of the members and NICO.

If something gets editted or disappears, just ask about it (email is preferred). There's a lot that goes on and we can't make public announcements every time something is done. You just have to trust us.

damn it i deleted my post while editing it by accident..Jose..Brandon has been informed of the requirements needed to be able to offer products to the forums and i believe he is interested in complying with NICO policy.

No one is interested in "keeping products from you" or beating down small sellers, infact NICO provides PERFECT access for people like brandon to sell/show their work and get a start in the industry.

HOWEVER, NICO has requirements for all sellers that need to be met, and there are PLENTY OF SELLERS WHO WORK IN PERFECT HARMONY WITH NICO POLICY!

Im going to keep my order with you brandon and I am going to try not to comment my opinion as to how this all went down, but lets just say I feel for ya buddy and you sure can take a beating, I think youve handled the whole situation alot better than I could have.

i never said they where for sale, nor am I trying to sell things for brandon. I am only trying to let people who are interested know what I have found so far.

I found those fogs on the net, me and brandon have been trying to figure out if they will fit with some minor mods. I will be going to the company that makes them directly and takeing some measurements.

I am just trying to let people know that the projector fog has not been thrown out the window yet.

If me saying email him about questions is wrong I am sorry, but this isnt a thread about the fogs, it is about brandon. So I didnt want to start a new thread about it, just throwing some good news out there in spite of todays events.

It's halloween, everyone lighten up and have some fun.
