I have a 2003 350z Track model with less than 65,000m on the engine and tran. I am looking to upgrade all the breathing/choke points on my engine. So far I have planned:

Weapon-R intakeSkunk 2 plenum spacerJVT headersKinetix High Flow catalytic convertersInvidia Gemini true dual catback system350z Unichip ECU piggyback EMS

I want to know if anyone has any suggestions on the quality of these products, good/bad. Is there anything missing off of the list, other recommendations? Am I getting the most "bang for my buck?" I'm all ears

Everything on that list looks pretty good, minus the unichip. It is least favored.

Try to look into the Osiris system. http://www.uprev.com/index.php

OK, good so far... I def need some kind of system maganement though. It's stupid to think I can just pop on all of that "money" and leave it to the stock ECU to maximize power. Do you have a suggestion for and after market EMS?

The link that Dasoupdude provided has what you're looking for. They take your stock ECU and reprogram it based on the mods you have installed. Another one to take a look at is http://www.technosquareinc.com/

Awesome!! I'm also thinking about bypassing the manifold spacer alltogether... does anyone know if the Kinetix SSV Extreme Flow Manifold is a good investment?

It sure does look bad a**...

hih flow cats are a waste of money, they yield 2-3 whp gains and just aren't worth the cost

The drawback of Technosquare, or any other similar service is the need to pull and send off your ECU and then wait for its return if you need a new map.

UpRev's Osiris Tuner Package option and Cobb's Accessport allow the end user to tune on their own without having . Cobb's addition of the Tuner Software allow a depth in tuning the stock ECU that wasn't there with the original Accessport.

I don't know from personal experience but I've read that a plenum spacer is one of the best bolt on power mods you can get. Motordyne claims their spacers will gain you 12 to 14hp. http://www.motordyneengineering.com/350Z.php

Yup, with the Osiris you can switch between 5 different maps with the cruise control buttons.

(assuming you don't drive a Base model like me, x_x)

Cheap bastard.

I kid, I kid! One of the things I envy about the base model is the ease of swapping in a Quaife differntial. Since I've got a VLSD I need to buy the base model output shafts. If you're looking at getting a conventional lsd we should coordinate our efforts and swap when the time comes since I'd prefer an HLSD. The other option when its time is to get an ATS / Carbonetics carbon lsd.

Back on topic ...

I do like that you can switch maps on the Osiris through the cruise control functions, its something it has over the Cobb where you need to use the Accessport to change maps (but you can monitor other functions through the Accessport as well). I don't really think you could go wrong with either of those self-tune ECU methods - in the case of these two options I think all comes down to personal preference. As with almost everything else I say though, YMMV.

I couldn't find it anywhere on the UpRev site, can you check and clear codes with Osiris like you can with the AccessPort?

I think I'm going to go with Osiris... They claim a 5-10 day turn around on the ECU, and for $300, I feel I can't go wrong. Since my ride is goin to be on a lift for a few days anyhow... might as well send off the ECU for a tune at the same time.

Thanks for the help everyone... Expect pics of all upgrades in Jan or Feb.... I have to get back from Iraq before I stunt my whip. At least I've got plenty of time to continue parts research and buying options!!
